Scout Editions: Bonsai Mini Card
Bonsai trees were originally from China over a thousand years ago. It was a practice to grow single specimen trees in pots. Somes the trunks grew to be rugged, gnarled trunks which often looked like animals, dragons and birds. Soon Japan adopted the idea of planting a tree into a pot too, but they took it to another level, and refined the art of keeping a bonsai. Bonsai means 'tree in a pot'. Bonsai growing is an art form and is a passion of the Chinese aristocracy, monks and nobility for hundreds of years.

Riso printing is an energy efficient print process. Similar to screen printing process, artwork is burnt onto a master and the master it is then fed through a print drum layer by layer. Please note that each print will vary very slightly, making each one one-off and unique. Offsetting may occur, the imperfections we think add extra charm.
